The last 2 hours have seen us climb steadily up from P32 to P29 overall, and 13th in class. Marc Goossens has been a rock for the team. He is on a double stint, bringing the Creation AIM through the steady rain, from darkness to dawn. At just about 05.30 am he leapfrogged the Dome which was in the box with an engine problem, to take 29th. Currently 1 lap ahead of him is a GT2 entry, that of Alain Ferte in the JMB Ferrari F430. Marc is lapping 13 seconds on average a lap faster than Ferte and he is closing in. Two laps behind him is the Dome LMP1.
The Creation AIM has now completed 203 laps. minute by minute daylight is coming through, but the persistent drizzle keeps the cloud base low over most of the 8.5 mile long Le Mans circuit. There are currently only 5 official retirements.
The customer Autocon Creation-Judd is currently running in position 36, with Mike Lewis at the wheel, seeing morning on his maiden Le Mans 24.
