After taking over the reigns of the Creation AIM at around 06.30 am Stuart Hall set about continuing the good work. Determination and consistency pays off here at Le Mans, and also some slick pit work and luck helps. As well as Stuart's excellent progress which reaped a couple of places, we also moved further up thanks to the misfortune of others. Since the last 2 hours have passed we have lost the #16 Pescarolo (engine blown) and we saw the privateer Saulnier Pescarolo LMP 1 hit the barriers and limp back to the pits.
Having passed two GT2 Ferrari's for position, Stuart is currently posted as 24th place. Ahead of us by 2 laps is the BMS Ferrari GT2 with Paolo Ruberti at the wheel (Stuart is lapping around 16 seconds a lap faster than the #97 car), and behind us the Dome LMP 1 has still yet to pass the 2 other Ferrari's that Stuart got by some laps ago. It's still wet, with intermittent rain making it interesting when it comes to tyre choice. Stuart is now on his 232nd lap.
The Autocon #23 car has just pitted. Bryan Willman takes to the circuit again (after the team checked it over) in 33rd position and still running.
Even though it's just after 8 am it is still very murky skies above Le Mans...
