Jamie Campbell Walter will be going home on Monday, ahead of a second medical assessment and a sizeable period of rest and rehabilitation. Interview – Yukinori Suzuki - Mr. AIM

The Le Mans Series test days at Paul Ricard were significant in several ways, not least because the Creation CA07 AIM was fastest of the petrol-fuelled LMP1 cars. It was also very fast (334.7 kph) down the Mistral Straight, as the team prepared for Le Mans.

The CA07 only made its race debut nine months ago, at Le Mans, and it was only three months ago that it ran for the first time fitted with the AIM V10 engine.

Testing has gone extremely well in recent weeks, notably at Estoril, and although we’ve told the story of the Creation (now Creation AIM) team and its remarkable premises in recent months, we haven’t introduced you to Yukinori Suzuki, the President of the AIM Company Ltd.

This would be the first opportunity the Creation staff and drivers (Jamie Campbell-Walter, Felipe Ortiz and Stuart Hall) would have to see how the fruits of the off-season development work would show against all of their rivals with the exception of the factory Peugeot team who are missing the test in preparation for the Sebring 12 Hours (in Florida) in a couple of weeks.
