FIA-GT - Imola 2004 |
|
 |
The Creation Team took their Blue Shark
out for one last outing for Round 8 of the 2004 FIA GT Championship at the
Imola race circuit in Italy.
The two Jamie's qualified mid-field with a time of 1:48.050, the team were
confident of their race strategy and knew they could make up places during
the race.
Unfortunately the hand of the bad MoJO monkey came down upon them during the
Green flag lap and struck the gearbox input shaft, with no drive, the Blue
Shark was parked up and sat out the race at the side of the track.
Images from the race weekend can be
found as usual in the
Galley.

CER - Silverstone 2004 -
Thunderbird 4 Takes the Win |
|
 |
After the disappointment of not finishing
the LMES race the day before with the Blue Rocket (TB1), The Creation Team left
Silverstone in good spirits by winning the CER support race on Sunday with their
Ligier JS3.
Bobby Verdon Roe in his now familiar Buck Rogers race suit
climbed into the little yellow Ligier, now nic-named Thunderbird 4 and
started the race in 2nd position behind a Porsche 908.
The start went well and BVR hung onto the rear of the slightly quicker
908 until the mandatory pit stop which went without incident, and rejoined
the race without loosing any time. This time the bad MoJo monkey picked on
the leaders 908 allowing BVR to take the lead just before the
penultimate lap.
Check out the
pictures in the Gallery.

LMES - Silverstone 2004 |
|
 |
The Creation team were in high spirits
for their home race at Silverstone, having always tested well at the
Northamptonshire circuit.
Qualifying saw the Blue Rocket take to the gird in 4th position, Nic and the
Car made a great start keeping tight to the tails of the two Team Velox
Audi's.
It was a close race, Nic moved in to third place on the track and then into
second when the other Audi made its first pit stop. The top four leaders
changed position over the next few pit stops until the hand of the bad MoJo
monkey struck one of the cars exhaust manifolds.
The car continued for as many laps as was
possible before the Team had to make the call .....
Despite the retirement the team were upbeat knowing that they had shown a
very strong hand at the Race.
We've got some great
pictures of the Team and their MoJo in
the Gallery and we hope to have a full race report for you all soon.

Creation Guest Day - Silverstone
2004 |
|

 |
Creation held a special event for some
invited guests and team sponsors at the Silverstone South circuit on Monday
9th of August 2004.
The team had all five of its cars on display and somehow had managed to
shoehorn a passenger seat into the Big Blue Shark ( The Lister Storm ) so
that a lucky few could experience for themselves what a monster of a machine
the Storm is.
Despite being unlucky with the weather Bobby Verdon-Roe kept
pounding the Storm and its passengers round the track all day, the smiles
and body language of those lucky people getting out of the car told the same
story......
Creation was also running its
DBA4-03S in preparation for next weekends LMES race and allowed its
guests close and personal access to the Blue Rocket. SIMBIN was also
on hand with one of its GTR simulators for the Guests to try their own hand
at driving a GT Car.
As always, Creation injected its own special mix of MoJo into the day and
everyone had a great time, check out the
pictures.

Le-Mans Classic 2004 |
|
 |
Last weekend the Creation Team entered their yellow & Green
Ligier JS3 in the 2nd
Le-Mans Classic weekend.
What was hopefully going to be a semi relaxing and bit of fun weekend turned
into one of the hardest 24 Hour races Bicks has ever done in his carer.
The car ran well during the qualifying sessions putting up the fastest lap
of the weekend and claiming pole by over 11 seconds until a suspension
failure caused the 1st of an overnight strip down, Bicks and Nigel worked
through the night and with a little help from fellow competitors the Ligier
was ready for the next race.
The car ran well for the start of the next race, but was stolen of the win
by driveshaft failure.
Creation had their MoJo Monkeys with them for the weekend, filming the team
in action, look out for some exclusive new videos in the coming weeks.
We'll try and get a few words out of Bicks and his thoughts on the weekend
once he gets some sleep. For now you can check out some
images taken from the video shot over
the weekend.

LMES - Nurburgring 1000 Km -
Updated |
|

|
The Creation Team are on a high after this weekends LMES race at
Nurburgring. The team looked strong all weekend and things looked great with
the Creation Blue Rocket starting the race in pole position ahead of the
Audi's with a lap time of 1:46.681.
The start of the race went well with the DBA leading the race until it had
to pit due to a puncture and the team lost a lot of time to the Audi's.
However, Creation took the initiative and changed the car to wets much to
the bemusement of all the other teams. The gamble came off as only a few
laps later the sky's opened up.
Despite loosing so much time on the in lap with the puncture, the team pushed
hard taking the fight back to the Audi's and Minassian had a great scrap
with the R8 of Herbert, The team were delighted with a finish in 3rd place
on the Podium but we cant help thinking it could have been the top step if
it wasn't for that puncture.
Update:
We now have an extended image
gallery on-line from the race weekend, check out these great
photos
here.
We should have more info and pictures
later in the week.

Donington GT Pictures |
|
 |
The Big Blue Creation shark had a troublesome weekend at Donington last
weekend. Problems in practice led to the team having to change the engine
during Friday night. The problems didn't go way during qualifying and the
car took to the grid down in 12th position with a lap time of 1:43.985.
As always, the Creation team put the weekends woes behind them come race day
and with JCW at the wheel the car made a good start and within a few laps
was making places.
Unfortunately it seems the Gods of GT were not smiling on Creation this
weekend despite all their efforts when the car had to retire with a broken
driveshaft on Lap 83.
As always we've got some
photos from the weekend in the
Gallery and as a special treat we sent our photographer into
the famous Donington collection Museum to take a few snaps which you
can find
here.

Busy Busy Busy |
|
 |
Ok, firstly ( a little later than planned ) we've got the pictures from
the FIA-GT race at
Brno, you can find them as usual in the
Gallery we've tried to get a few different shots this time
showing the Creation Pit Crew in action.
The team have got a real busy few weeks ahead of them. This Wednesday
the team will be shaking down the
DBA4-03S and Ligier JS3 at a test day at Donington Park in
preparation for the next round of the LMES at Nürburgring which will
take place on the 2nd of July.
Creation will stay for the rest of the week at Donington for Round 6 of the
FIA-GT championship this coming weekend were Bobby Verdon-Roe will
join the two Jamie's in driving the Creation Blue Shark.
The Creation Lister Storm has always gone well at Donington and with BVR
joining them at the wheel the team are hoping for their first podium of the
year.

Group C at Le-Mans - Update |
|
 |
The Group C meeting at Le-Mans last weekend didn't go quite to Creations
plan.
First the Group C race which took place on the Saturday morning before the
main 24 Hours race was shortened to just 30 mins.
Second, the team suffered electrical problems with the Courage Cougar
C26S during practice causing the team to retire the car for the weekend.
Third the Spice developed a small engine problem during practice causing it
to qualify down in 30th position.
However, come the race the Spice went
like a rocket and finished 1st in its class, at one point it looked like it
might make the overall podium with 3rd or possibly 2nd finish, but the
team decided to back-off a little as the engine gremlin from practice gave
concern.
Hopefully we'll have some pictures from the weekend soon and maybe a race
report.

Group C at Le-Mans |
|
 |
The Creation team are of to their first Group-C race of the year, and
what better place to show their great historic monsters than the legendary
Le-Mans track in france.
The team are taking both the Cosworth powered Spice SE88C freshly back from
the paint shop with a new paint job and the awesome Courage Cougar
C26S.
With a grid of over 35 cars it should make for an interesting and nostalgic
race. We've got some
exclusive pictures of the cars prior to
being loaded in to the truck ready to leave for Le-Mans.
All being well, we'll have some pictures from the weekend and maybe a race
report early next week.

Little did Marcus know that the team had planned something a little special
for him. Read Marcus Hardung's exclusive report on his day with the team as

LMES - MONZA
- Creation DBA shows its colours |
|
 |
As reported below, Creation got of to a great start at the first round
of the 2004 LMES series by qualifying in 4th position.
The race however did not go quite according to plan, with the car first
having to pit to change a rear wishbone and later retiring due to gearbox
problems.
However the team are upbeat about the weekend having proved that the DBA has
the pace to make sure the Audi R8's are not going to have a easy time for
the rest of the year.
Images from the race can be found in the
Gallery or
here, we hope to have a full race report
and maybe some feedback from the drivers soon.

Get Well Soon Lee |
|
|
Lee Web joined the Creation team this year as a race car
mechanic. Team principle & owner 'Bicks' has worked with Lee in
the past and was thrilled to have him join the Creation family.
"We we're all deeply shocked when we heard that Lee had been involved
in a serious road car accident at the weekend, however, we can now report
that Lee is in a stable condition and hopefully over the worse"
If anyone would like to send Lee their best wishes, he is in Ward 3 at
the John Radcliff Hospital - Trauma Unit in Oxford, UK.
