Part 2 |

They came, they saw, and unfortunately, on this occasion, they didn’t
conquer. Despite challenging and fluctuating weather conditions from the
start of the race, Nic and Jamie’s Spa adventure was going wonderfully well
until a wayward Porsche brought it to a premature end at just after the four
hour mark.

So Near And Yet So Far For Creation |
|
 |
For the second successive LMES race, the Creation Autosportif team had a
certain podium finish snatched from its grasp within the last 30 minutes of
the race.
To the bitter disappointment of the team, and with less than twenty laps to
the chequered flag, a fractured water pipe cost the DBA-Judd the loss of the
strong 2nd place which it had held for so much of the race. It finished in
7th place.

Creation Autosportif, making their debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, today
finished the toughest of all endurance races in 15th place overall and 7th

times against the odds.

More Set Backs For Creation As Dawn
Breaks |
|
 |
After the early delays to the DBA-Judd's progress (new gearshift to box line
and new water pump fitted), the blue p1 prototype had run extremely well
through the night to make its way back up to 7th place in the overall
classification.
As dawn broke, the temperatures recorded by the car's telemetry system rose
and a water leak was diagnosed. Andy Wallace, who was at the wheel at the
time, could feel something on the rear tyres - water - and thought he had a
puncture.

Nicolas Minassian set the third fastest time of the race, 3:39.073, and the
car's best lap, just after 1.00 am and was extremely upbeat when he handed
over the wheel of the electric blue LM1 prototype to Jamie Campbell-Walter a

Le Mans Second Qualifying |
|
 |
In warm, humid - but above all, dry - conditions, the lap times fell away
this evening in an all-out fight for the glory of pole position for the 73rd
running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The British Creation team were all too aware that the times expected of the
hybrid Pescarolo cars would likely put pole position out of their reach, so
they were pleased with the final outcome of the two days of qualifying.
